Pretty much this. They played a solid game against a very good team. There were plenty of missed calls on both sides that would have had an impact on this game. We got a point out of this and just need to build on the positives from here while we continue this road trip.

They definitely had more chances than the Avs to put this away but at least they played hard throughout most of the game. That itself is a positive. If this team just played all 60 minutes in majority of their losses things could be different.

What's funny is that's what we say about ALL of our players. It's been said before, but it can't ALWAYS be the players.

Ennis looked like crap this game, and for the last couple of weeks. But his stick being there wasn't his fault...he got shoved there.

I'm in the middle on Ennis. On one hand, I want Lindy to bitch slap him for some of the things he does. On the other, when he sits, it REALLY sucks that the players who get more icetime because of it are grier, gaustad, and niedermayer.

We all are maybe a bit disappointed with Ennis, but we're giving him a rookie/sophmore break on it. We'd have all hoped for a little more this year, I think. Not many options in Portland, either. Working hard or not, he's all we got, pretty much.

A rookie/sophomore break does not cut it anymore, not even under Pegulla's new ownership.
