He did bring his parents to America for a much better life, plus they get to see their son excel at playing hockey in person and not on TV.

Well, it's over and the last episode was the worst. Everybody (not just Green) was hamming it up for the cameras by the end of it all, even Pens GM Ray Shero dropped an F-bomb then looked at the camera giggling, as if to say, "Hey look at me I'm on HBO!". :hand:

Looking at the whole 4 episode series I give it a 5 out of 5 stars, the on ice audio alone made it unforgettable. Listening to the refs bicker with Cooke and Crosby is so much fun, it really gets me into the feel of what it's like to be an NHL player and you know what the best part about that is? It's not much different from a rec league. I guess hockey is hockey no matter the level. :)

To summarize:

I still hate Ted "Mephistopheles" Leonsis. Even more actually.

Bruce Bodreau is a buffoon and an annoying ass clown, I would hate to have to play for him.

Mike Green seemed like a narcissistic douche at first, and there he stayed. ;)

Ovechkin is awesome. I just love his personality.

I am now a fan of Fehr.

Bylsma is a great coach but he is the POLAR OPPOSITE of the Penguins last coach, Micheal Therrien, who is also a great coach.

Still love Mario and Natalie Lemieux is still Pittsburgh's most smoking hot cougar.

I hope they do this show for all of the WC games from now on!

Just watched the 4th part. Overall a great show and one big commercial for hockey.

I gained a lot of respect for Bylsma, seems to be the kind of coach I'd want to play for. Bruce fucking Boudreau not so much ;)

I hated that they didn't handshake at the end, way to show a lack of sportsmanship. Unclassy.

I was kind of surprised how much the refs get bitched on. They probably deserve it sometimes but it's gotta be annoying as fuck to hear that every other night. (Crosby telling the ref how many hockey games he watched on TV this year. Give me a break  )

PS: i downloaded it via torrent from piratebay

That was Crosby's gay move I bet (running away from handshake), probably still butthurt about not getting a PS and the head shot. And of course being embarrassed by losing to the douche bag capital of the world in front of HBO, home fans, and the rest of the known hockey universe.

Dude with Crosby and Cooke they bitch whenever things aren't going their way, every game, all game. It was fun to actually get to hear what they say though. But fuck the refs, they get paid handsomely they can shut up and take it. Let the crybabies cry.

Surprised not a lot of people talked about how much of a douchebag could Matt Cooke be for cutting the laces of the skates in the opposing locker room? Who does that?

Best part of the last episode was when Shearo said fuck basically for the cameras other than that it was all kind of weird. Ohh and mike green no one cares about when you go to bed on new years eve, he was big time camera whore if you ask me through out the whole series.

He is a douche but doing it to that other douche (Bissionette) in Phoenix made it worth while

Why? He did it as a joke to an old teammate. And laces are so easy to replace why would it be that big of a problem?

Had he cut a hole in his jersey or the straps from his gear, yes, that is douchey. But a simple 10 cent lace that takes 5 minutes to replace and gets a nice laugh from people?

I would have loved to see the reaction from him when he tried to tie his skates.

Because I promise you the player didn't end up lacing the skates back up, the equipment manager did while thinking "fuck my life."

It's just to the fact that he had no business being in the opposing locker room, at all.

If someone came in before one of your games and cut your laces, probably not too happy. Say you're driving down the road and some teenager throws an ice ball at your vehicle. Probably not going to hurt it, but you're still pissed based on what's right and what's wrong.

The equipment manager gets paid to do his job, if I was getting paid to lace up a skate why would I care if I had to relace a skate or not, It's not like I haven't done it countless times throughout my career?

If someone did do that to me I would be pissed because I wouldn't have extra laces and it would cost me money. Those players in the NHL do not have to worry about that like you or I do.

There were plenty of scenes that showed players lacing up their own skates.

I do agree that he had no business being in the opponent's locker room. That's a bit sketchy to me, but not that big a deal IMO.

A few of the guys got together one weekend and rented the ice at the town arena. We tossed sticks first, then headed to the locker rooms to change. This one guy was a real assbag about everything and an over all douche. He went outside to get his drink on before the game (because that is always a smart thing to do) so one of the guys on our team got his GF to give him her bottle of hand moisturizer. He emptied the whole thing into this guy's skate. I only wish I was in the locker room when he put his skate on. He started blaming everyone on his own team for the gag and threatened to smash the windshield out of someone's car.

Did I mention he always laced up his skates and played without socks on? Yeah, he was pissed but we laughed pretty hard at him throwing a fit behind the glass.

Tom, he meant replacing the laces on the skates. Which I would still assume the players would do as many, if not all are superstitious about how their gear is, plus it would just be better since the equipment manager needs to worry about more things then just laces most of the time.

Haha Aud, that's funny.
