It's basically the SAME exact logic used to blame DOOM and Mortal Kombat for the Columbine shootings, and it's flawed logic to say the least.

well, she was targeted. that much is for sure. as already said, palin has had this woman in her political crosshairs for some time.

The image is not the problem. It's the message that is put forth. You can support gun rights yet not encourage people to use them as a problem solving tool. Palin isn't the worst offender, but she's not innocent in that regard.

It's not Palin's fault. She's not qualified. I don't like her. But I don't believe she literally wanted anyone dead.

That said, she deserves to take some heat. We need to set a precedent. Politics desensitizes the fuck out of people who, ironically enough, are all working towards the same thing; a stronger America.

We all have families. We're all human beings. It's about time we started making sure that the foundation of debate and progress is love. That's why we're here discussing this in the first place.

you could take it that someone took her message way too far. you could say its just an unfortunate coincidence. either way, there is certainly something about palin that is very frightening.

by the way, i read she was talking prior to surgery.

Talking heads like Palin, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh should be held responsible for spewing such dangerous and hateful words. Politics is a controversial topic in our country, and there are crazy nutjobs out there who will get inspired by someone/something and will go out and kill someone in the name of their political beliefs/religion/morals/etc. This isn't the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. Don't underestimate the power of words.
