What a terrible tragedy. The most disheartening thing is a 9 year old being killed. That shooter deserves no mercy. I can't even find words to describe how I feel about that guy.

I met Rep. Giffords and her husband, astronaut Mark Kelly, at a conference last year. While I may disagree with her on some aspects of space policy, she was a very pleasant person. Nice to everyone around, and she actually listened to what others had to say. Her husband is scheduled to command Endeavour's last mission in a few months, and I cannot begin to imagine what he is going through right now.

So there's been a prominent government official killed, bomb like things exploding for two straight days, and now congressmen and judges being shot in supermarkets. WTF is going on.

When she interviewed this dude from Africa who was lobbying to pass a law which would make homosexuality illegal I was surprised how level headed she remained. This guy straight up wants all gays to be rounded up and either killed or inprisoned. The whole time I was like....does he know she's gay?
