That absolutely sucks man, good luck in the new job hunt, I'm sure you'll be able to find something soon.

Gabriels Gate is hiring most positions right now, as are a few other restaurants up toward Allen, I know it doesn't help a ton, but if there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Yea I've applied at the Gate already (earlier in the week) and I did some resume mailing already tonight to about half a dozen spots.

Good deal man, keep your chin up. I give you a lot of credit, being proactive instead of sulking. Can't do anything to change it now; just plug on and move forward. You'll find a job quickly, no doubt in my mind.

Damn dude, that sucks big time. Sorry to hear. You'll land on your feet and hit the ground running though. Something will come up in your favor, I'm sure of it!

My aunt bought me new expensive winter boots and did not let me leave the store wearing my old pair of shoes; she had them thrown out. I've been wearing a gray pair of these
Image
that I've had since my freshman year of high school. They served me well, but the soles were almost worn through in spots, and they're not really suitable for snow (they were the only pair of shoes I owned). My heels are very calloused and tough from getting accustomed to the cold and moisture they were subjected to walking around campus and everywhere else in those things during the winter. Now I have the first legitimate pair of boots I've ever had, not including what can be bought at Walmart or whatever. Much more suited to walking in the winter... I'm pretty grateful right now. They're not even tall, so they'll be comfortable worn everywhere.

Downside: My shoes can no longer be a joke amongst friends, and now I must buy sneakers or something to wear in the summer haha, but WHATEVER. I have boots!

I could never live opulently...

I adjust way too much to the people I live with. Have never been neat my entire life, but after living last semester with a neat freak, all I had to do to clean my room for a friend coming to visit for a week today was vacuum. Not normal. The floor has traditionally been barely visible.

Actually, I think it's due to the fact that all I brought back with me for break was my hamper full of my clothes and a small box with stuff like my alarm clock and jewelry box in it. There isn't any clutter to mess up the room, and because I've been putting dirty clothes in the hamper, there is actually no way the room could get messy. Derp.

Fuck this city. Yesterday we got three inches and everything was closed or delayed. A storm that was known to be on its way for a week which stopped at 3 am and STILL the roads weren't plowed by the time people had to go to work. No snow yesterday and now for some magical reason (apparently it's too cold at 4 degrees) the schools are opening two hours late. WE LIVE AT THE BASE OF THE ROCKY MOUNTINS COLORADO SPRINGS!!! What the fuck.

The sushi you made me was good. :( That sucks, sorry man. Hope you find a new job soon. Have you applied at Blue Monk? Not sure if they are hiring, but it seems like your kind of place.
