It seems like this thread is in the wrong place. This should be the sympathy thread, and the political discourse from it should be in the politics thread. Not a good idea to mix the two, because this was such a tragedy.

Ya know what, I don't have sympathy for this guy either. And normally I can be a pretty sympathetic guy. I hope that 9 year old's parents throw rocks at him as he enters the courtroom.

Like throwing bombs in an otherwise reasonable thread?

Seriously, go read the last page.

Tea Party leaders bringing guns to rallies!
2nd amendment remedies!

If the insane shooter thinks the government is engaging in mind control via grammar (as widely reported), guess what? That's a non-political reason to hate the government.

Is that the best ya got, champ?

Trolling?? REALLY? I'd say insinuating(or downright claiming) someone meant something they didn't is closer to the definition. Wonder who did that?

Bomb in a reasonable thread? REALLY? People were saying the sharif was unreasonable(which he must have been, cuz IYO he was; remember your speculation is fact).

Now, back to the facts, and maybe this time, you can be reasonable. I never claimed this guy was motivated by partisan rhetoric, you just claimed I did(I do believe it was motivated by anger w/the gov). I never tried to connect the dots to the tea party(that was Chris Matthews, not me, I'm younger). I DID, however, post 2 things which are relevant in the wake(however unrelated they are).

Please don't insinuate I am saying anything but these 2 points, ok'

1. The tea party leader said he was fine with bringing guns to their political rallies. I believe this is wrong, and could LEAD to a tragedy.

2. A person was quoted as saying, "2nd Amendment justice". I'm not claiming to know what that person meant(because I can't read minds, and my speculation/trolling isn't 100% accurate). It DOES, however, reek of gun violence. Just wondering what others thought.

There, now that wasn't so bad, was it? Maybe if Fox news quit spouting about how the Left is being so libelous, it will JUST FUCKING STOP. They're giving it more publicity by trying to make them look bad. I think that's funny.

OK, I'm going to try to focus really hard.

Because the last mention of that tidbit is from 6 months ago and only exists now in the left wing echo chamber.

2nd Amendment "Remedies", but that's not important.
A person...?
Really...you can't even cite who off the top of your head?
It's relevant and would give you a stronger punch if you used their name.

hey, so. they think she can recover to a high functioning human eventually.

maybe you guys can cool it and discuss the important, more positive side to this sad story; this woman is fighting and winning.

heh..ok

Chris Matthews happened to do the interview. So that means I'm parroting him. WTF. Seriously, your game is weak. Next thing you know, I will BE Chris Matthews. Apparently if ya watched his interview, then you share all his sentiments.

Ok, if you don't want to discuss what "whats her face" said, then that's ok. Even weaker than your parrot reply. I thought the term "2nd Amendment remedy" was pretty bad, no matter WHO said it. I'm not defending any "side", just quoting someone, and stating my opinion on the said quote. I wanted others opinions, too. You could have just not replied.

Listen, if you say "I think there are some really nasty things being said", implying they had some influence on this crime.
Then go on to cite 2 specific things, one from a tea party activist and one from a controversial Republican governor, you're not allowed to say you're not taking a side. You just did take a side and made a veiled accusation to boot.

I stand by my trolling statement unless you want to put up some facts that tie those 2 statements to the crime.

Cross, I'm not(never did) implying the 2 things said by tea-party people had any influence on this crime. I am only saying that the political discourse of the partisan politics may be reaching a breaking point. As far as this kind of talk goes, the Dems say it's the Repubs, and the Repubs say the Dems do it too. We all know that. The point is that it's out of control, and maybe I am taking a side by claiming the tea party is leading the way, but I'm not against their stance. Just their tone. We ALL know how serious gunplay is right now, and there's no place AT ALL for it in politics. The LAST thing this country needs right now is a "militia, we're not gonna take it" mentality, and that's the line they're taking, imo. I can see how you may have thought I was implying, but I only posted it in this thread because these things were brought to light in the wake of the murders. I had no intention of sparking the notion the guy was a tea party whacko.

Yeah I didn't think what you said was meant to be inflammatory and assign blame.

an update for those of you not following the story. which, i assume most of you are.

she has stood up, with assistance, and she has begun to do some fine motor skills, such as unbutton her husbands top button on his shirt, and give him a neck rub. also, she has opened cards and read them.

they say she has moved her lips, which they think MIGHT be a sign of her attempting to talk, but they arnt sure, as air cant pass her vocal chords.

but she is aware of her surroundings, and is communicating, and appears to be functioning at a high level.

I read she can't talk because she has a breathing tube in, but as soon as the remove it they expect her to be able to speak. It's pretty amazing how rapidly she seems to be improving. At least there is a bright spot in this terrible tragedy.
