Lots of endearing stories both big and small yesterday. From the Southwestern pilot holding a flight for a grandfather on his way to the funeral of his granddaughter who was tragically slain to this, it was a good day for humanity.

in all honesty, i dont even know the words to the star spangled banner. i always get nervous when i go to a sporting event, cause i always think "OH, THEY MESSED IT UP!" then i pause and think.. nope. thats me.

Not gonna lie, I didn't learn the lyrics until I started going to a bunch of Sabres games and Doug Allen showed me the way.

Was just listening to NPR on the way home, they had this girl on and gave her the chance to finish singing the song. She said she was annoyed that she didnt get to sing the high note, or at least that no one heard her sing it :)

It was pretty cool, she seemed really confident for an 8 year old, and damn what a voice.
