It's colorful, but for me that whole John Rigas era uniform design was overdone. It's was like...

"MOTHER FUCKING BUFFALO YEAH! And the Sabres...."

Here's how they should do it.

Blue and gold colors of course. Charging buffalo on the shoulders. Swooshing style sabre blade on the front. You know like how they do it in the comics, as if it is in action? Like that, but cleaned up and with a glint of light off a part of the blade.

As for the goalie mask, well meow let me make sure you're sitting down first....

Dude get the chips later, you had enough....

Ready meow?

Okay...you do two cross blades with the center of the X meeting at the top of the head. You show bloody knuckled fists clenching the guarded hilts (just go with it) on the sides, and you have sweet as tits inscriptions etched into the sliver blades--not Stanley Cup style lettering mind you--but archaic nonetheless. I leave those up to the one who dons it, for it can be deeply personal and still look epically cool.

I love Miller's mask, but I think he should go with something different.

i like the thought but i think it would be a disaster. Millers mask is now something of a trademark for him. Often times certain aspects of a mask will begin to identify with the goalie. for Truco its the gargoyles, Khabibulin its the combination of the brick wall and Belfours thing was always the eagle. If one of those goalies decided to drop their "trademark" the mask just wouldnt be theirs.

Could you imagine Brodeur wearing anything but the Devils mask he has now?

Marty Brodeur did change his mask, actually...only the jawline trim is the same now.

But yeah, I love when goaltenders develop a trademark mask.

i know he added the MB 30 to the forehead a couple years ago but beyond that it is still the same. To me its the same as Millers recent tweeking of the colors on his mask.

i was referring to a completely different design and everything.

Yeah.

If Miller ever wears a different mask, I'll be pissed. That thing is an extension of him.

Ask when you go there, inquiring minds want to know. Tell Dean I said hi if you go. :D

Yeah, it's right near MSU...like a street over. It's off Abbott road, I only remember that because there is an Abbott road in Buffalo too haha.

Nah...it's a cool store. And there is not even a reference to Ryan Miller when you're in there. You would have no idea he was associated with the place if you didn't know his dad or anything.
