Look it...the Sabres are not very good in their own zone. You guys know this, it was like that all last year too. They constantly turn the puck over, they don't hit hardly ever, they don't block nearly enough shots, they don't box out screens at all, and the breakout is consistently flawed. Even when they are winning games the d-zone work is below average. Last year Miller covered it up, this year he's playing very well, but very well doesn't cover all of that up every night.
They need to worry less about not hurting people, getting hurt, and staying out of the box and just let go with some desperation and urgency. The d-zone play is soft. Morrissonn (play better and I'll learn your name) was supposed to bring some physical intimidation but it's not there. Weber, Montador, Meyers...these guys know how to play a ballsier style of defense, and they need to start punishing people instead of bending over.
If your a soft team, finesse players are going to exploit that. The Sabres are too easy to play against.
