A little travel is good for the soul. Maybe it wouldn't produce the best results in the win/loss column, but maybe the players would get something of value from the experience. Also, it would be a good thing for our European fans here, as you can see from their posts. Anything that generates some more excitement for hockey and for the Buffalo Sabres is a good thing IMO.

Hopefully somewhere where our European fans can actually get to a game. Would be sweet to see some folks from here in the crowd.

According to an Austrian newspaper (not a reliable one though) there are talks that the Sabres might play a preseason exhibition game against the Vienna Capitals. This would be so great, just a 2-hour drive from my place

Also, the Sabres may stay 10 days in Mannheim (Hecht's home town) and play against the LA Kings. Take it with a grain of salt, that newspaper is the worst.
