Gragnani may finally get a shot! I've wanted to see what he can do at the NHL level for a while.

Why is he being called up? I wasn't aware of injuries to our blueline.

maybe sekera or butler is going to play forward. I think they both have before...?

He'll probably play on the PP a lot, fill in as every few shifts as a defenseman, and get a few minutes on the 4th line every night. I LOVE this move. He probably would have made some noise out of TC if he hadn't been injured.

I'm relatively certain he's played some forward, yeah. I think he'll probably do what we've done with Sekera several times - play a few minutes as a forward and defenseman, and be a PP specialist.

Word on twitter is Grags is in to replace Stafford.

Grags has been playing forward in Portland, and is currently tied for second on the team in points.

He'll be fine up front. A safer option than Reggie to be sure.

Haha. I looked at the list of folks they were discussing as possible call ups. Saw his name and wrote it off because I thought he was a D-man. I figured it would be Ellis. WRONG.
