Back in December I had two days off from the lake affect storm that gave us about 4-5 feet of snow. I bet by 6:00am every school in London will be closed again just like in December.

tried going for a run, didnt work. took some video and a picture to show how deep the snows gotten in 6 hours.

the picture is of me in basketball shorts, showing how deep the snow is compared to my legs. and the video mainly just shows the wind and though the trees. but the cold and wind takes my breath away, so i sound like a mouth breather. so i deleted em.

I really don't understand why everyone is saying the storm is that bad, there is basically just wind. With all the snow lots of things are closed except the college and university in London

I got about 6" at my house.

Only thing that is annoying me are the people griping that the storm was overhyped. These are the same folks that gripe when we get hit hard and don't get enough warning.

Apparently this is the same storm that is supposed to hit us tonight.

Because of the warning, I've had a bunch of people call in today in a real shit mood kind of yelling at me that they aren't coming to work today because they, "Don't want to risk their lives on the road". Almost like they're trying to justify taking the day off even though the storm isn't forecasted to begin until tonight. Also, some of these people live in town and don't have to travel the highway or great distances to get here. Some could even walk if need be.

This day is going to shit real fast.

we mostly got hit with ice here. not a whole lot of snow but ice can be worse. I'll take a day off where I can get it though. I'd laugh if we get the snow part of the storm late and get big amounts of snow later tonight and then everything is open again tomorrow.

We got about a foot or 15-16 inches of snow at the most, but people here don't know how to deal with it/plow effectively (example: visibility leaving parking lots is typically dropped to near zero because they create huge piles of snow right at the entrances/exits), so there is a driving ban in effect for the county. It's silly to me because this isn't that much snow, but...

Creating of Calvin and Hobbes snowmen shall commence in an hour. :D

In total, 13 people have left work today because they fear for their lives due to a storm that hasn't started here yet and won't hit until tonight. Add on top of that, the people who have called in already today making my job of recruiting people to either come in or stay later a real shitty one. And I'm not off for another 1.5 hrs.

Lazy mother fuckers.
