Yeah. I think it's that the word cunt sounds much more vitriolic than bitch.

Connotation is slightly different too, at least from my perspective. Calling someone a bitch is essentially saying she's ridiculously rude and selfish to the point of ruthlessness at times (she's a female dog in heat lol). Using cunt, though, implies a complete disapproval of absolutely everything about her character. It's just the way that the words are used and their level of use that differ slightly. Maybe in a few generations bitch when used in that context won't even be considered cursing, like calling someone a jerk, and cunt will take the place of bitch, but for now, that's the way it seems to be.

I swear a lot. I do. But here's a fact for you;

I've only called a girl a cunt once in my entire life. And she deserved it. Big time.

Kind of funny how words can have different impacts on different people. If I called my gf a cunt, she'd enjoy it.

Historically, bitch, was formely used just to be a female dog, while c--- meansa womans vagina

partially the same with bastard, which was just the condition of one's birth

My sister and cousin used to be terribly offended by the word cunt, they were flabbergasted when they first heard me say it but it took less than a week for them to get over it and now they call me cunt whenever they have a chance haha.
