It's that time again. With the Sabres resuming the season on Friday against the Pens, I thought it might be a decent idea to get a predictions thread going. Here are the games the team will play this month:

2/4/11 @ Pittsburgh (3-2 L)
2/5/11 vs. Toronto (6-2 W)
2/8/11 @ Tampa Bay (7-4 W)
2/10/11 @ Panthers (3-2 W/OT)
2/13/11 vs. Islanders (7-6 L/OT)
2/15/11 @ Canadiens (4-3 W/SO)
2/16/11 vs. Toronto (2-1 L)
2/18/11 vs. St. Louis (3-0 L)
2/20/11 vs. Washington (2-1 L)
2/23/11 vs. Atlanta
2/25/11 vs. Ottawa
2/26/11 vs. Detroit

I'm going to predict that we won't have nearly as good a record as we did in January, however, I see potential for another win streak. First of all, we begin a six-game home stretch this month, starting with Toronto. I also see plenty of opportunities for the team to get up for a lot of these games. For example, we have two games against Toronto, who we always play fairly well against. We also have to even the playing field in Florida, so I see good things happening when we visit the Lightning and the Panthers. I also think we don't want to have a losing record to the Islanders on the season.

Personally, I think this team is good enough to get seven wins this month. Therefore, my prediction is 7-3-2.

Wow, we have A LOT of home games. I would hope we would have as good a record as January due to that fact alone.

Well good thing is we should have a new owner who is willing to win but I would sacrifice this season to make the necessary moves for the future. I don't know why people want this team in the playoffs this team isn't that good at all and doesn't have enough talent for the long haul. I like building for the next couple of years and not this year. This team this year is scary bad.

It looks like the Sabres are going on a road trip to Florida. The last time they went down, they played two shitty losses. If that happens again with either team, some guys are going to hell. Wins against both Florida and Tampa Bay will be huge.
