Yeah, I'm pretty sure she probably does know the lyrics to the song, and knows them pretty well. But it's called a mistake. She tripped up. Something weird happened in her brain. Who knows. But it's not as if she went out there and said, Hah, I'm going to make a mistake in the lyrics just to piss off all Americans!! Sheesh. I understand the national anthem is a big deal, but shit happens. Get over it.

Never said that. Simply said you used some pretty typical arguments to present an artist you don't like as untalented rather than simply stating that they're just not your taste, which is probably closer to the truth.

I don't like Led Zeppelin, Justin Bieber, or Lady Gaga but I don't say they suck/can't sing, and I have a good idea why they're famous.

I like Christina Aguilera (sometimes) and the Black Eyed Peas (almost religiously since Elephunk). That being said, both of them sucked. You don't get to be apologetic or defensive over shitty performances, and unless I missed something while admittedly skimming through this thread, you have yet to admit they sucked. Until you do that, I can't credit you with having any taste in music, and your opinion to me on this matter is meaningless.

The Black Eyed Peas are an awful live "band". They don't have the voices for it. The NFL should have learned that by watching their performance at the Grammys last year.

Christina Aguilera fucked up the national anthem by trying to make it her own artistic rendition, instead of singing it with the rhythm and melodies it was intended to be sung with. She can fuck off for messing it up, and deserves every bit of criticism she gets.
