I can't believe he didn't get at least a game for kneeing frankenface. The NHl is a fucking joke, and Cooke is the lead clown.

He's attempted at least 6 intent to injure hits against the Penguins alone, including a knee on knee hit with Orpik during the game prior to the one where he finally accomplished knocking somebody out of the lineup. He boards and hits players in the head with his elbows too. haven't seen a Cooke-like head shot from him yet, but I'm sure he's willing to do that too.

He'll get what's coming to him and so will Cooke.

Cue Buttman's annoying voice telling us how much the league cares about its player's well being. "We're doing everything we can buh blah blah blah...........". If you really care then get the fucking banhammer out on this tool. Give him 20, and say it's for repeat offending. No wait, it's Pittsburgh, the unbiased cornerstone franchise of the NHL. Forget I mentioned a legit suspension here.

4 games. What a joke of a suspension. Give him 20 to prove the point. NHL doesn't give two goddamn flips about safety.

It is annoying that they preach safety and wanting to take dirty hits out of the game but when they have the opportunity to make a point with a solid suspension, they whiff on it...

I still say get rid of the instigator, re-employ the roll of the goon and let the players settle it on the ice... If Cooke is going to continue this, maybe a goon rearranging his face will make him think twice... it worked in the NHL for YEARS... you add the instigator to control and limit fighting but you do it at the cost of some wicked injuries and what seems to be more bull shit hits...

Now honestly, Im bad with hockey history, I know there have been concussion issues in the past in the NHL and I am sure there have been some cheap shots... BUT to those that know more hockey history, does it seem like the douche bag hits are up vs. years past? Does it seem like players are taking more liberties?

Would you rather see this more policed on the ice or keep it in the hands of the NHL? Or should the NHL just be more consistent and/or stringent?

That was pretty premeditated. Cooke had several seconds to realize what he was doing and that he was going to hit Tyutin right between the numbers.

I wonder if Bylsma gives Cooke an allowance for a certain amount of dirty play to put fear in opponents. That might be an interesting solution to some of these guys, if fining and suspending the player doesn't work, start fining the coaches.

Obviously the NHL does not care about safety. They can't get headshots right and they seem to be all over the board with kneeing guys. look at last year OV who is a star is a star and he's allowed knee guys and then when a douche like Cooke knees someone he only get 4 games?!?! WAKE THE FUCK UP NHL!!!!!!!

The NHL NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDSSSSSS to get rid of that fucking 3rd man in, instigator, what ever the fuck they want to call it rule. It's stupid, and it puts discipline into the hands of somebody behind a desk.

I look at it like this, you're out at a bar, and someone sucker punches your buddy, do you wait for the police to arrive and settle it in court, or do you get involved? Same principal here. If the players on the ice, not on the bench, but on the ice want to handle it, then let them handle it. A broken face or two would stop guys like Cooke and Avery dead in their tracks. Want to act like a shit bag, fine, answer to an enforce, and you'll need a shit bag after they kick the hell out of them.

so anyone still faulting DiPi for that collision? This guy is a fucking piece of shit and deserves an ass beating. Wish they would get rid of that instigator shit.

3rd Man In and Instigator are two INCREDIBLY different rules. You should know that.
