For me, we're right on schedule. I predicted the Pens loss and the Leafs win, and I see us losing to Montreal, Detroit, St. Louis, and Florida.

2-1, and had it not been for that flub in Pittsburgh, we could have possibly been looking at 3-0. Alas, we remain behind Carolina and Atlanta.

Encouraging to note is that Carolina lost (in overtime) tonight Florida's loss allowed us to pass them, as well.

The OP has been updated.

Having 2 games in hand to win, we are 4 points out of playoff contention. The Hurricanes and Flyers need to play bad.

Well dont count on the Flyers playing bad... they are a legit team right now, in fact they are my pick right now to go to the cup and win. They seem to be finely tuned and are working great together, but all of that could change at any point. Now we are doing very well for ourselves, the first two periods were really nerve racking cuz they played bad. But the third period they just kicked it into gear. If they can play like they did in the 3rd period from here till the end of the season we are going to get a playoff spot, no doubt. But the question remains, if we are sellers at the deadline and getting rid of players on our team, then will we be able to continue to fight like we did tonight, most likely not. But time will tell.

The Flyers have one cup championship too many. I prefer both, but one from 1975 does not belong to them. They can win another in their next lifetime.

Not to mention how good the Flyers pick it up when the playoffs arrive. They just turn it on. As good as they have been this season, I see them being really great during the playoffs.

Wait a minute, why do we give a crap about the Flyers playing bad? They're well ahead of us.

That was exactly my point, why the Flyers were even brought up by Sabretooth is beyond me... its a completely useless point.

Perhaps he meant Thrashers.

That would make a lot more sense, but I feel that the thrashers are a team we will not catch, Carolina we can most definitely catch, but Atlanta is a completely different team (obviously).

I think we can. Their record the past 10 games is abysmal. I think another team we'll catch is the Rangers. Carolina, I'm not sure. They have all the talent.

haha so we are exact opposite. But keep in mind that when teams have a series of bad games they are bound to bounce back... but like I said before, time will tell, if we can keep playing like we did in the 3rd period last night, we have the a easy possibility of catching anyone of those teams easy.

I like this month so far. We are 3-1. We have a 3 game winning streak going, the longest so far of the season. We get to take the Islanders to church Sunday to meet their maker with a deep water baptism. Too many good things going on.

One behind Atlanta and they are 2-5-3 in their last 10, 2 points behind Carolina who are 4-5-1 in their last 10, and us who are 7-3-0 in our last ten.

We are 26-22-5 on the season so far.

We have 3 games on hand over Atlanta and 2 over the Canes. The Rangers have lost 3 straight and have 62 points right now also.

Well, my prediction is already off. We're 4-4-1, so we need to win at least 3 more games (with three games left) to match my win expectations.

The Atlanta game is even more huge, now.

I think another thing to note: we still need to play the Hurricanes three more times.

The current homestand is dashing many expectations. That is very sad.

Are you surprised? This team has been doing this for how many years now. I'm hoping that Terry cleans this shit up with this team and management. I will give him time but I think he knows what he needs to do. Hopefully his first step is canning that pussy GM we have.

Yes, I am surprised. Having a bad homestand once in awhile is understandable. Havingit too often is unacceptable, especially when you are outside the eight playoff seeds in the Eastern Conference at a time winning games is necessay to make the postseason.

Pegula knows likely what to do already. He has used time probably to see the team perform.

He needs his players to start playing hard for 60 minutes and he needs a GM that see's what going on and isn't afraid to make moves.

Seeing as the second one is actually his job (the first one is the job of the coach), then yeah.
