I think that shirt is heretical.

Pegula hasn't even taken control of the team and people are already hailing him as the second coming of Christ. Replacing the word Sabres on that shirt with the word Pegula is also the most perverse take on disrespecting "Name on the front, not on the back" that I've seen - not only are people celebrating one man above the club, they've up and put his name on the front of the shirt.

Laugh at me for overreacting or being too serious, but that's my opinion and it won't be changing.

Golisano was treated the same way when he came in. Fans went nuts because we had a billionare owner that would do whatever it took to win a Cup. The arena was full of 'Thank you Tom' signs and shirts.

It happens.

I don't think people are celebrating the man above the club. It's a t-shirt. That's all.

And not to be nitpicky, the shirt replaces the word 'Buffalo' with the word 'Pegula'.

See, "Thank you Terry" signs would be just fine with me. But that shirt just pisses me off.

Meh. It's a shirt. I see it as a different way of saying "thank you".

I really hope he does make this team his, and that's the way I see this shirt. Hopefully he's more than the "I'll chew this microphone" talk we heard from BTG.
