The person who asked the question understands it, and I think that's important.

If someone post something that isn't in English, use Google Translate, or ask them politely what they said. Snapping at them and calling it 'obnoxious' is pretty petty.

i dont think so. people who speak other languages constantly ask "whats that mean?" and we tell them. its obnoxious IMO.

And when we ask non-English speakers what something means in their language, they tell us.

It's not obnoxious. It's how you interact with something that doesn't happen to speak your language. It's really not a huge deal like you're making it out to be.
