Kennedy - Roy - Stafford
MacArthur - Connolly - Pominville
Hecht - Gaustad - Grier
Ellis - Mair - Kaleta

I don't know about moving Kennedy to the wing, but that seems to be the least complicated roster move. Just move Gaustad back and activate Mair. Gerbe could be called up now but should he start at LW now also?

It's going to be an early 4-6 week test for some of these young players.

Those were the lines I was thinking, or maybe Paille jumping up into one of the open left wing spots once. Gerbe is also a possibility here since we lost a skilled scorer (not that gerbe has proven to be one at an NHL level though... but in portland thats his game)

Lindy has quite a few options open. Next few days should be interesting.

Not sure what lines I would do, but I do believe Paille deserves a chance. He looked good in the preseason, and he hasn't played one regular season game yet. I think he knows he has to prove himself and I think allowing him to play could be a great thing. I'm sure he hates having to watch this team win from the press box. Every player wants to contribute and be a part of the game. Put him in, see what he can give. If he fails, then you got Mair ready to come back.

If Mair is ready to go:

MacArthur-Roy-Stafford
Kennedy-Connolly-Pominville
Hecht-Gaustad-Grier
Ellis-Mair-Kaleta

If Mair isn't ready to go:

MacArthur-Roy-Stafford
Kennedy-Connolly-Pominville
Hecht-Gaustad-Grier
Paille-Ellis-Kaleta

Whatever lines they had last night seemed to be just fine!

How about we fuck with everyone's heads. Roll four equal lines.

1. MacArthur-Connolly-Kaleta
2. Kennedy-Mair-Stafford
3. Ellis-Roy-Grier
4. Paille-Gaustad-Pominville

For obvious reasons, I suggest we sit Roy, Stafford and Miller now that Vanek is out .

Good Grier don't change the lines at all - they're working. Just substitute for Vanek, be it Mair, Fred, or Patches. Hell, put LaLime in there, just don't fix what isn't broken.

Did you just take Grier's name in vain?

Just in case you haven't been hurtled into eternal damnation already, it was nice knowin' ya.

Just put Paille in Vanek's place. That's all we need to do. The lines are playing very well. It would be stupid to mess with them.

Keep the lines as they are, and insert somebody for Van. For crying out loud, stop trying to take Kennedy out of center ice. He's TOO GOOD to move him to wing.

If we need goal scoring as well Ennis could get a little taste of the NHL. he did light the lamp a lot in juniors. Though MacArthur has been a hard worker and mair can play a fourth line. Paille i'm up in the air about, would like to give him a chance. Kennedy has been playing well putting him on the left wing wouldn't be a bad option. give us two solid checking lines. in the bottom two and two more skilled in the upper two.

my two proposals.

Kennedy - Roy - Stafford
MacArthur - Connolly - Pominville
Hecht - Gaustad - Grier (that line was together for a while and was stout defensively)
Paille - Ellis - Kaleta (Mostly because of Mair's hip)

or

MacArthur - Roy - Stafford
Kennedy - Connolly - Pominville
Hecht - Gaustad - Grier
Paille - Ellis - Kaleta.

I think kennedy or MacArthur will be moving around, and paille will see some action.

Slot in Mair or Paille into Vanek's open slot until he comes back. End of fucking story.

Also, in a slightly unrelated note, I liked how Lydman and Montador did as a pair and thusly, I wish for Sekera to never ever come back. Grier bless and amen.

so what paille or mair play with stafford and Roy. cause vanek is more than likely going to miss at least one game.

I'm pretty sure he means, "with the exclusion of slotting in Mair or Paille for the injured Vanek."

Yeah I'm with you. If it's only going to be a game or two than just put Pialle or Mair on the LW and be done with it.

Sekera is not needed. Myers, who proved us correctly last night, can supply us plenty of offense from the back end.

Paille is a natural leftwinger whose skill game far more resembles Vanek than does Mair's, who is strictly a grinding, rightwing/center. If I have to choose one or the other in an effort to maintain continuity, the one I'm picking is Paille. Perhaps Danny has pissed off Lindy with a bad attitude, because on the surface this decision makes no sense.
