Tsn has just confirmed that the Ottawa Senators have traded goaltender Brian Elliot to the Aves in exchange for netminder Craig Anderson.

I guess a little shuffling for both teams? Both teams unhappy with their netminders after they had success the season before.

I don't get this one for the Senators. They traded away an RFA goalie, who's young as has room to grow, for an older goalie in Craig Anderson, who becomes a UFA after this season. Consider the fact that Pascal LeClaire is also a UFA after this season, Ottawa just decreased their goalie depth for their rebuilding year next year.

Lots of midrange trades as of late. I'm hoping its a sign that buffalo can make a big trade at the deadline. This trade doesn't make sense unless they are planning on making a run at a big time gale later or during the off season. Enroth and a 1st for Phillips anyone?

PL doesnt play his angles well enough for a smaller goalie, I think they dont care about him as much because of that.
