Dreger and McKenzie both saying deal will be completed soon. Sounds like Colbourne and a 1st but don't know as of yet.

According to Dreger it's done, just has to be filed with the league.

Almost sad. It's become a yearly ritual to watch Kaberle not get moved.

Wow...Burke fleeced them.

BOS : Kaberle
TOR : Colborne, 2011 1st, Conditional 2012 2nd (If Kaberle re-signs in Boston OR Boston makes the Cup finals.0

Toronto wins in a landslide.

yeah, toronto certainly got better quick. colborne could make the leap this year, or they keep him in the AHL where he is playing very good hockey. they have options.

Not only all of what's been said, but BOS doesn't even have an extension lined up for Kaberle. This smells of rental.

I wonder who they pair him with in beantown? Him and Chara on the same line could be hella dangerous.

I'm with the most of you guys, though. Burke could take a pile of shit and polish it up to the point where he could land anyone he wants. As much as I hate him, the guy is good.

A late first and Colborne isn't exactly a steal. From what I've read and heard Colborne's development isn't going as well as it could be. Also the kid is 6'4 and plays like he's 5'10. Could end up being a real good player but an unproven college player and a late first for one of the best PMD's in the game isn't a landslide.

In my opinion it's a decent trade. Anything better than a 3rd round pick for him is good stuff. I could be wrong and Kaberle could tear shit up in Boston, but I think otherwise.

If I remember correctly, in the previous years that Kaberle was in the mix for trade talks, a lot less was being offered.

Seems like a win for TOR. A HUUGE win if Boston makes the finals, and then Kabs re-signs with TOR. Haha.

Not that one. But Boston's true 1st pick. I believe...

It's boston's first pick not the one that Toronto sent over in the Kessel deal. I think Boston paid way too much for Kaberle. I still think Philly is the team to beat in the east.

Reports have said the Colborne use to be a top prospect but they have said he fell so far down the prospect depth chart in Boston. Plus Boston has loaded up and they will essentially given up late 1st round pick and the leafs have no clue how to draft in the 1st round. So with all that said Boston wins this trade not Toronto.
