And here I thought the Blues would be in the top 8 this year. Where the hell did 13th come from? Poor bastards. Go out and run em.

They started the year with 12 straight games against current playoff teams and went 9-1-2 in those games. No idea man.

Kinda poking around online....and having some fun with stats...

I think maybe the other teams in their division got themselves right after slow starts.

Halak hasn't exactly been great this season. SV% of .907 and GAA of 2.63. Offensively they are near the bottom of the league in most, if not all, important categories.

Meanwhile in their Division....
Detroit is at or near the top of the league in goals and assists. That's probably buoyed some middle of the pack goaltending stats. Same story pretty much goes with Chicago.
Nashville is pretty mediocre in most offense categories...except +/- and they have tops in the league in goals against, save percentage, and shutouts.

So The Wings and Hawks can score and the Blues can't stop them from scoring. The Blues don't score a lot of goals and Nashville is arguably the best defensive team in the league. Columbus wins ugly games, man I hate those guys.

Their November schedule was pretty brutal as I count only maybe 4 easy games...so the slide started and just kept going.

But then again, I'm just bored waiting for my pizza.

Not sure if anyone watching on TV is hearing this, but MSG feed I have has RJ and Harry sounding like they're talking into some weird electronic vortex....

Gerbe...exactly how wide open does a man have to be before you pass it to them? Is that a Big Ben tinted visor? You SOB it better not be!

I approved of McCormick and Vanek being on the same line. They really seem to create out there.

I like it that RJ still gets excited on a possible Mike Grier breakaway.

Can someone explain our system of clearing the puck from our own zone, because in over 25 years of watching NHL hockey, the way the Sabres do it baffles me. The extra passes, the passes to nowhere, the passes to the other team...I'm strating to think I really don't know as much about hockey as I thought I did watching this team.

EDIT: Now we also apparently turtle away from a forechecker...any forechecker.

lol, this is awesome.

It's like RJ and Harry are Transformers! Like listening to Starscream and Megatron calling the game..

Edit: Anyone watching this feed http://www.theblanetwork.com/ will know exactly what I am talking about
