Giving away the ouck that led to the opponent's game winning goal certainly does not win a new contract. GD, Montador.

Pretty sure if we did they'd have done it by now.

lol probably...previous track record says so.

but it might be because of the whole ownership change going on.

and stafford? please, obvious re-sign for 3.5 mil over 2 years or 3 for 4.

I'm kind of hoping that's sarcasm. Couldn't they do 2 or 2.5 for two with performance incentives? IMO, all contracts should have performance incentives :/

the first part was sarcasm. the second part wasn't. it's a reasonable gamble to pay stafford more than what gaustad makes over a short contract. 3 million over four years isn't a bad gamble either, and it will probably be somewhat close to what he will be awarded should arbitration be reached. i don't like having to go to arbitration with promising young players because it may sour their opinion on the team and then we could miss the next contract out of spite and goodbye players.

Incentives can only be used by entry level contracts, and players over the age of 35, and the contact needs to be 1 million or under for it to work.

Or at least that's the last I read about them.

Making long term financial decisions about a player based on a single play in a single game is clearly a path to success.

Montador may want to play better Wednesday if he is still a Sabre.

I'm so glad Sabretooth has nothing on the say of any player, because we'd all see everyone shipped out after one tiny mistake and replaced with probably nothing.

You should be GM and you should see how many players you could actually get to play for your team.

Have you ever played the game before Sabretooth, a giveaway happens because the ice is rough, you try the pass but your stick breaks, you try to send it down the ice but someone picks it off, or you thought you could clear it out but the puck rolls off your stick.

Sit back and watch the game from a player standpoint and realize no one is perfect in hockey and the game isn't "easy" for the pros either.

I have opinions on players who have negative patterns for many mistakes make across many games in several seasons. I choose not to share them.

Montador played his second game after being out two weeks. It is hard to get back up to speed quickly when he had a concussion. I just want him to get his bounce back quickly so we can win games to make the playoffs.
