Bill Hoppe just tweeted that Gerbe drilled a hole in the ice near the eye of the Buffalo and planted something there.

None of the players are saying what it was.

Hmmm, Gerbe eh? Do you think he plans on staying?
Does he have the intangibles?

I say yes and no... I have really liked what I have seen out of Scrappy Do as of late. Playing with a chip, agitating a bit... hes has brought more to the table than i thought he would... a little more grit than i expected out of him... and I like that it was him with a drill at center ice, thats just kind of cool, lol...

With that said, the problem(s) with him currently are shot selection, just ask CV... and size... with Roy, Ennis, Gerbe, Byron... how many undersized guys can you really get away with on a hockey team in the NHL... Im not sure you can get it done with 4 of 'em... defiantly 2, maybe 3 and you better have some size and grit around those 3... which we dont have currently...

just my opnion...

I agree with you. Roy and Ennis are here to stay but Gerbe and Bryon I just don't know about.

Check this out...

Billionaire Terry Pegula is now officially the new owner of the Buffalo Sabres and the buzz in this city leading up to today's announcement has been incredible.

Sabres fans labeled Monday night as, "Pegula-Eve" and this morning some in Buffalo jokingly greeted each other with, "Merry Pegula."

Funny stuff.

However, Pegula means business and while he's expected to use the remainder of the season to assess and analyze every aspect of the organization, it's believed Sabres GM Darcy Regier will be given the opportunity to build his team without the financial handcuffs he's been restrained by over most of his time in Buffalo.

Sabres players are also about to learn the importance of family to Pegula and how much he values a family environment in developing a successful business.

The players, their wives, Sabres employees - pretty much all involved - will be invited to a party on Thursday to get to know Pegula and his wife, Kim.

Sources say the Pegula's are willing to go above and beyond to make sure the little things are done for Sabres players and their families, believing in time, Buffalo will become a destination of choice for prospective free agents.

There will be immediate changes - perhaps more subtle than fans might expect - but the long term outlook for the Buffalo Sabres is nothing but positive.

Yeah, the icemakers were Canadian, and they put a Loonie at the center ice dot in Salt Lake City.

Mike Harrington just posted that it was a piece of a puck from last week, symbolically burying the last couple games.
