Tuesday, February 22nd, the day we started the Pegula era in Buffalo. With a break in action from their Sunday's home loss at the hands of the Capitals where our offense has once again been stagnant but were held into the game by Ryan Millers spectacular saves where he made unbelievable saves on Nicklas Backstrom to keep that game close. We are to wonder if the Buffalo Sabres are going to come out flying or will they continue to show a lazy half-hearted effort in front of an owner who is committed to winning a Stanley Cup? This will be the first game where Pegula can decide if he wants to get rid of players or not as he will have control now.

The Sabres are 4 points out of 8th place in the Eastern Conference and have played 58 games, Atlanta has played in 60 games and are also tied with the Sabres with 60 points. Both are fighting for that final spot in the playoffs from Carolina who have played 60 games and have 64 points. the Rangers are also starting towards a bad trend going 2-7-1 over their last 10 and have played 61 games with only 66 points. the Sabres control their own destiny over these next 24 games. We are currently on a 3 game losing streak and must put an end to this streak and start a new streak in our favor.

The Sabres aren't out of it yet, still plenty of hockey left to play and still plenty of chances to get into the playoff spots. Win tonight for Terry, Win tonight because you control your destiny, win tonight for the sake of the winning feeling again.

I'm going to this game, courtesy of the Buffalo Sabres themselves. It's my first game of the season, hard to believe...but I'm stoked.

I was thinking about it, but I have tickets to the Dropkick Murphys, so I'm pretty much locked into that.

So you want them to fuck everything that moves and doesn't move then?

This game has two destinies.

To the Sabres team that wins, congratulations! You are present in the Pegulla era, which you are expected to win.

To the Sabres team that loses, get the hell out. You belong with the previous owners that know absolutely nothing about hockey.

Good call.

A historical game regardless of the outcome.

I agree. This game will be historical to specific Sabres who may take home ice for the final time. They might as well leave with thunderous applause.

I will be there.

Also, both Evander Kane and Brent Sopel based Buffalo Twitter, indirectly, by saying that they were leaving the warm Atlanta for the chilly Buffalo, but it's worth it for the two points.

Quote:
@EKaneATL9: Leaving the perfect weather in Atlanta to Buffalo. But it's worth it for 2 points.

Quote:
@BrentSopel: Wow what a temperature change from Atlanta to Buffalo. But it will be worth it with a win.

Let's prove them wrong tonight, boys.

Hah! I wouldn't take that as bashing Buffalo...if I'm flying to ATL, I'm going to not the change in temperature.

Know what would be stupid awesome? If Evander Kane defects to the Sabres after the game ;)
