I agree but doesn't a captain, in addition to being a leader off the ice, have to lead by example on the ice? I would find it hard to get pumped up when a guy who sucks shift in and shift out starts shouting "Okay guys!! Let's put one in the basket!!"

you dont start the future by forcing someone into a leadership role. let that person evolve and grow into a leader, and award him accordingly in the future. for now, let some more established voices in the locker room have the letters on their jersey.

Now that's funny! I was thinking he was one of the greatest cheerleaders this team has ever had.

I'm really shocked that no team would give buffalo a 6th round pick for him! He's a healthy scratch for how many games and would be fresh for a team that needed depth in the playoffs.

He's the 8th defenseman on the team behind Butler and Sekera. He's not worth a 6th rounder to anyone,

It's generally not good that he's sitting on the bench. I'm not shocked this happened at all, and I'd say it's pretty long overdue.

2. I would have to agree with a few others on here in saying that I don't think a 'C' will be awarded till next season. And if Goose or Pominville get it, I will vomit all over the place. I hope both of those players aren't even HERE next season.
