I'd have to say somewhat monumentally. If Goligosky drew what he drew, then Shatt held a lot of value. Especially compared to McClement. A perennial 10 goal scorer who's reached his ceiling. He's also 6 years older than the 21 yr old Shattenkirk. I'd be willing to bet Shatten out goals, much less out points McClement every year from the defensive side.

Simply enough, both sides gave up some good property if you don't include McClement.
