a wings fan friend asked me to go saturday but I don't think I'm going to because I've been in rochester for a few days and am going home tonight and i really don't feel like shelling out $50+ for a ticket and driving/riding back to buffalo again.

think I'm gonna get 3-15 tickets.

This is a must-win, the Leafs are only one point behind us. Jesus.

second of all, clearly darcy doesnt feel he has gotten anything worth moving on that will improve this team. you dont make a move just to make a move. those kind of moves have backfired in the past, when his hands were tied by management.

The act of not making moves at all fails to win you Stanley Cup championships. In fact, that was evident in our 2006 cup run.

It is possible to make very good moves and compete at a high level with budget constraints. Look at the Ottawa Senators in 2003.

We know there are moves to be made for critical roles and depth positions. We have the players to move and a budget to work with. We do not have eternity to sit back and do nothing.

THERE ARE NO MOVES TO BE MADE. IF WE MADE A MOVE NOW, IT WOULD NOT BENEFIT, EVEN IF WE COULD MAKE A TRADE. Clearly you don't know how and when trades are SUPPOSED to take place, or who will do the trading, and you may have just ate a mushroom you found growing in your shoe.

Roman Wick and Corey Locke called up for tonight's game. Sens dressing 8 forwards who did not start the season with them.

I think many of us know when trades should be made. It is better to make them sooner than later; otherwise, someone misses out on making smart trades.

That is correct. No one thought of players getting injured after the deadline. Had we acquired one or two rental players for depth in exchange for Noronen, I think we would have done better against the Hurricanes.

Darcy is supposed to tell the future, then prepare miraculously for it?

Coming up next: Darcy must jump over a 50ft alligator pit with a cinder block attached to his dick.

If the only move you can make is trading away your tertiary goaltender for a second round pick to win the Stanley Cup when other positions can use depth for a playoff run, then you set yourself up for failure. Fortunately, the Sabres went very deep with no serious acquisitions, reaching the Eastern Conference finals.

All of our positions were fine, we just got a shit ton of good players hurt. Darcy can't prepare for injuries he doesn't even know will happen.

And who do you think we would have gotten in return for Noronen? He was a plug and swiss cheese to boot. I'm sure trading him away would have solved all of our problems.

When you have no depth to depend on when your entire team is ailing leads to failure. Smart general managers will prepare for that, even if they do not know what may happen.

Who knows what general manager you would be?
