Thanks Fly!

Just finishing up listening to this now, really diggin the way Pegula gave it to TBN. I agree with how he put his statement about how the media really gets down on the team and related it to his family. And let’s be honest, after one day on the job and a very proving win against a team that is still in the hunt, Bucky being Bucky rights an article pretty much stating that the honeymoon will be over soon and we'll see what happens there.

Not that he matters anyway, but common dickbag, let the fans enjoy some feel good times with this team for once instead of printing the shit he normally writes.

What I hate about print media is when they take the stance of being something anywhere near close to an expert on the players or play that they criticize. TBN's group of sports writers haven't played a down of serious football or had one important shift on the ice in their whole miserable lives. Yet, they choose to make overwhelming conclusions about players and the team based on short stretches of games or simply their own bloated, biased opinions.

They sniveled back at Pegula, saying Montreal or Toronto would be much more critical. First, some of those writers have actually grown up with hockey and played it and second, their over-opinionated pieces aren't necessarily worth a crap either. If there are educated, analytical articles to read (good or bad) then fine, but for the most part the slop printed in TBN is Gleason style op-ed that wouldn't hold up in my circle of friends, let alone a legit hockey discussion with hockey players, coaches, or front office personnel.

But basically, Pegula is a positive oriented person and he wants to bring that atmosphere to the locker room and ice. TBN, like most print media, is filled with non-athletes that don't know how to attract readership without negative junk they think is true just because they stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. That attitude won't be welcome in HSBC.

God, this is so true.

I can't stand how some schmuck with a journalism degree can act like he knows more about a sport than someone who has played and worked in it their entire lives, yet get all offended when called out on it.

Exactly, that's what bothers me.

Yea, my entire view on the game of hockey has changed since I started to actually play it.

Boston's allowed the fewest goals in the NHL. Their defense is not bad.

Detroit is looking for goaltending help. Howard has a lot of wins because the team in front of him is nasty.

That's all I'm saying. I was just bashing on you anyways. You have every right to think Rask and Howard are up and coming goaltenders. They've shown some good things.

Boston's defense is good, but Rask isn't even in the top five in the NHL. He's just plain amazing. Slobber slobber.

oh i know. i think howard is a solid goalie. reminds me ALOT of miller. but im sold on rask being an elite star. i just am.

but detroits defense is pretty shitty. detroits help for goaltending is because osgood tore his groin in half or something, and he sucks. howards worn out and injured.

remember, millers 06-07 and 07-08 were pretty pedestrian because of buffalos average at best defense.

but i know your just joshing me.

During their 4 game win streak, Howard was like a .952 or something in those wins.

He's had some stinkers, but he's not that bad this year. After you go .922 or whatever your first year, it's hard to replicate that.

And Thomas hasn't been what he was at the beginning of the year either. Which is really good for everyone.

he was best in the NHL last year, save percentage wise. and a .918 save percentage is pretty good for a backup not getting steady starts.

top 5 in the NHL? i mean hell, miller isnt even in that group right now, statistics wise. but we all, myself included, feel talent wise, he is.
