So I'm about to upgrade my Mac to the latest version of Snow Leopard, and I was told that my current version of Photoshop won't work anymore because it's too old. I don't really have any experience in downloading large files (I really only download music), so I'm wondering if anyone has Photoshop CS4 or CS5 for Macs, or can lead me in the right direction to where I can download it?

unless you get a bootlegged version you will have to pay for it, and it wont be cheap. Check the adobe website or some colleges have Adobe Suites for discounted prices.

i lucked out and got the whole CS3 suite for PC from a friend

I may or may not know how to procure it. I don't know how hard it is anymore because they really try hard to fight piracy.

Let me see what I can find out.

I'm looking for a bootlegged version, I'm definitely not paying for it.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! My friend told me they changed it so once you install it on your computer, you can't install it on any others.

Once you get a copy, you need to spoof an adobe url in your host file to prevent CS from "calling home" to adobe.

or so I've heard....

Thanks for your help...hopefully I can figure it out if/when I'm lucky enough to find it.

What did they do exactly to prevent people from making copies? If I steal it from one off the computers at Buff State it's just not going to work on my Mac?

Downloading the client is fine, it's the license you're stealing and that's the hardest part to find. You have to make it so that it doesn't try to verify your license and deactivate it. Finding a cracked license that works is the difficult part. Chances are, you need to find a key generator, too, and one thing I remember that was hard to get was a key gen that worked on Macs. They're basically all for windows. Pain in the ass.

I think I might have dodged a bullet, I installed Snow Leopard and my outdated Photoshop is still running fine...eh, whatever. It still works, that's all I care about!
