And Bernier  ;)

And we get to keep him for a year...lol

Well in all fairness we could have kept Bernier, but he was part of the trade that brought us Craig Rivet if I remember right.

Boyes is a center per ESPN.com and NHL.com.

It's likely he played wing in St. Louis because they have had 12 guys line up for them this year that list as centers, and another 10 that have played center before.

Something to note - Boyes is on his way to a fourth-straight injury-free season

I'm not gonna get too excited, because I have no clue where he's supposed to play? We needed a RW like a 2nd dick.

Ya know what, we shoulda got Lupul for free if this was the plan. Murray dumped him with Gardiner cuz he's like 4.5. I ain't gonna bitch, but seems like there were other options. If he plays 2nd line C, then fine.

Boyes is a center with one year remaining on his current contract before becoming a UFA in 2012.

Darcy Regier made an acquisition. That is good to get a passing grade. If Boyes can break out and score, that grade will be significantly higher.

Not to be a nag, but he hasn't scored in a while. I've seen him a few games, but not sure if I like the price tag. Jochen can put up 12 and 14, and I HATE that already,

Boyes is a RW per Tsn

Here is some interesting news about Boyes.
2007/02/27 Boston Bruins traded Brad Boyes to the St. Louis Blues for Dennis Wideman. (Ex-Sabre Draft Pick)
2004/03/09 In a three-way deal: San Jose Sharks traded Brad Boyes to the Boston Bruins for Jeff Jillson; Then, San Jose Sharks traded Jeff Jillson and a 9th round selection to the Buffalo Sabres for Curtis Brown and Andy Delmore; Then, San Jose Sharks traded Andy Delmore to the Boston Bruins for future considerations. (Jillson was a super bust for Buffalo and put Andy Delmore in there as well)
2003/03/05 San Jose Sharks traded Owen Nolan to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Alyn McCauley, Brad Boyes and a 1st round selection (later traded to Boston - Boston selected Mark Stuart) in 2003.
2000/06/24 Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1st round (24th overall) in 2000.

Boyes will need to increase goal production if he will play on our 1st or 2nd lines; otherwise, he has a spot on the 3rd line with someone else getting moved.

Boyes is a center and for every time someone says he isn't, all I'm going to post is "Boyes is a center".

Money still matters when you are investing it into the right long-term players in the organization.

Boyes is a decent pickup but not earth shattering deal. Sounds like St. Louis wanted to cut his salary off the roster. That's a pick chunk of change for a guy with declining goals.
