Sydney's 14 hours ahead - Our Game Time (7:00 PM) is their 9:00 AM, the next day...

Yeah but its only a replay at about 9.00pm and because its not a major sport here its only whatever game Versus is showing (which is usually a penguins game).

So in all i probably only see about 2 or 3 Sabres games all season which is why i rely on the GDT so much.

We'll have to figure out a way to hook you up with an online feed, so you can groove to some "real-time" action. :D

Pretty excited for some emotion.

Last season, some games, especially when in say, Florida, seemed like nobody cared. I was borderline falling asleep during some of the games.

Can't wait.

I'm also very excited for the Pirates. With the addition of so many tough hombres, and a slew of needed roles being filled (Ennis playing dynamic right-winger, Lamoureux giving Enroth a decent backup, Brennan giving the team a powerplay quarterback), the Pirates are going to looks gnarly. If either Gerbe or Kennedy make it to the big club, things will be harder for the Pirates, but if they don't that team is going to be sick.

Did Gogulla get signed so he can suit up with the boys?

I'm seriously wondering if that's not such a bad idea, to transmit a feed to all the Sabres' fans, worldwide, who don't get Center Ice or MSG...loaded as a flash to a homegrown site or a P2P.

I've got 2 T1 lines at work - I can bridge them, and set the feed to transmit (after the office is closed) at Game Time.

...or, something like that...Let me sleep on it. Might be possible.

Wouldn't be hard to do....except if you get caught you'd have to explain it away when the bullshit DMCA stuff started rolling it.

I've thought doing something similar myself...I'm just too skittish about losing a $60k a year job over it.

I've been thinking about taking a trip to Portland to catch a pirates game, but that'd be tough to go there and JUST do that. With traveling costs it would probably cost as much or more as a Sabres game.

But yes, very pumped for the Pirates.

Could set up a "private" site with a changing login - No tickey, no laundry.

How does SlingBox do business?

Mark, just go to the two games they're playing in Buffalo. There's one in November at 7PM and one in March at 4PM. I'll be at both, you can bet your ass I will be.

No, those go on sale at weird times. Last year, the tickets went on sale for it like three weeks before the game.

I want to see what Tyler Myers has.

I'd also like to see if Kennedy and Gerbe have made a jump after their solid rookie pro seasons.

i don't really know if this counts. but hopefully a fire has been lit under darcy's ass to produce a winner. same with ruff so i'm hoping that if Tallinder and Hecht, to name a couple, suck they get replaced by the young guys. I'm hoping those who suck and are on lindy's favorite list sit if they suck. but i guess a more optimistic thing is seeing the impact of mike grier on a guy like stafford. oh and of course the weber sekera tandem, or myers if he can make the team. hoping he takes tallinder's spot.

I just want the goosebumps of that first game. Watching the guy take the ice. I just hope I can get Center Ice first so I can DVR the games when I'm at school.

The potential of some of our younger players. They develop, and we will most likely have a playoff contender.

If Myers can play this season it would be a huge plus.
