But, had we won in ot/so, we'd only be 1 point behind both of them. We basically swapped NYR and Car in the standings.

We're still 2 points out of 8th, and 3 out of 7th...

I would bet my life that the Sabres would beat the canes in a best of 7, but maybe not my life vs. the Flyers or Bolts, but yet they have a shot.

Oh absolutely.

But we should have won this very winnable game in regulation...

yeah we're still in good position with games in hand and two more chances against carolina to make up for that one. That's probably how we should look at those games, just gotta pick up the next two

It's not so much that I'm afraid of teams like Carolina or anything. It's just that the Sabres had plenty of chances to win this game in regulation, but kept putting Carolina back into the game in a game in which they really, really, really they could have used a win. Two out of three of their goals were the direct results of Sabres mistakes. Should have been 2-0 in regulation.

eh, both teams looked pretty even to me. it was a hard-fought game and a lucky shot won it.

we're 2 points out of 8th with three games in hand rather than 2 points out of 8th with two games in hand. look at it that way. if we go 1-2-0 over the next three games, we're on pace to make the playoffs.

OK, I'm calmed down. Miller allowing the OT goal is understandable, but the circumstances sucked. In the second period though, he was shit and he looked shaky all night. Wouldn't have been an issue if the top six could score, which right now they can't. When the only potent piece of offense is the new guy, there're problems.

Okee dokey. Mini rant coming.

Not happy with Ryan Miller on any of the goals. The OT one he was screened, so it was more the defensemen's fault, but I was still mad from the 1st 2.

The musical chairs on the PP is confusing the players and pissing me the fuck off.

We really needed to acquire a center. The only guy who can win draws in the offensive zone(PP's esp) is the guy ya don't want out there.

Quit with the 3 play-makers on one line, and all 3 bigger forwards on the other. No coach would do that. The idea is to mix player types on the lines, not be redundant 3 times over.

That is all. Wasn't so bad I guess.

the same issues this team has had for the last few years. The offense is just not there and with Millers not so stellar play this season really shows how bad the offense really is

It's odd, but I found that game to be very entertaining. I feel good about it, not down at all. We gained a point on the Rangers and we have 3 games at hand on them. Also, despite being on the road, we didn't let the Canes slip too far ahead. And let's be honest here, we all know who the better team was.

The Sabres are playing playoff hockey this season. Fuck the world.

it was an evenly played game the sabres should have won, but i had a feeling that game would go to extra time.

I think the Canes rallied from the fans (not a lot of them but they were into it). You know the Sabres have been winning a ton of games since X-Mas, so in the grand scheme of things it's not the end of the world.

And here's the cold hard truth Rud, there are 3 teams and 2 playoff spots. I want the Sabres and Canes to get in, fuck the Rangers I hate them! That reality is closer now, I mean 1 point behind the rags with 3 at hand, that's awesome.

3 out of 4 points so far on the longest road trip in franchise history is also good.
