this....unless Vanek goes on a tear about getting the A and we make the playoffs.

If he gets onto one of his hot streaks wearing the A....it gets changed to a C.

I hope this happens, not only for Tommy, but going into next season, the only other logical player to get the C (unless the Sabres continue to sign a veteran to give the C to) is Derek Roy, and frankly, I don't want Roy wearing the C.

No more of this "role player wearing the C" crap.

Whomever dons the C, should be a stud player.

Role players wearing the C never works. Therefore, I agree with Tom. I can't see Gaustad ever wearing the C.

I don't get this love some Sabres fans have for giving the C to marginal players? I mean hello, people, if it really is a new era, and Pegula is a paradigm shifting new owner, then these days are over. If the reason for the Sabres existence is to a Stanley Cup, then this is top 5, maybe top 3 in things that need to change.

I'm not saying that this person is one of those people, but there are always some people who want to give it to the hard working "ugly ducklings" that they feel resemble us as Buffaloians. Well you know what...screw that "lovable loser" mentality...we're now owned by the 2nd richest owner in the league. I'm may be feeling Minnesota, but I'm looking California. Gaustad fits into that list?

Vanek, Roy, or the stud FA you sign...who's likely on that list. Hopefully Vanek shuts the door on Roy's bid ... as I don't ever see Lindy giving Roy the C, even if Pegula shoots him until he acquiesces. I think Lindy would jump into Lake Erie full of bullet holes and drown himself before he gave Roy the C, especially to start a season.

Ruff has yelled at Vanek while standing behind the bench, I know I don't get to see every game, but I have never seen Ruff chew out Derek Roy. Maybe its happened, I've just never seen it.

Hellz ya, Craig's an awesome dude. Good for him. I may take some heat for this, but some guys don't fit in "the system". I was almost happy to see Loods go, and I was confident(well, maybe really hoping) Anaheim would use him properly. Turns out he fits with Lubo like a fucking glove.
