So according to Sbaresindc if there is a 2 on nothing breakaway on Miller he should make the save regardless.

if a player is within several feet of the net, if he picks an open spot, he scores. it is not humanly possible to react to a shot from 3 feet away.

Yes, the shorty was not possible for Miller to stop unless Timonnen missed his spot.
