Enough with this "Miller gets a pass" bullshit. When a person is trying to explain why it's not a weak goal, it doesn't mean that they are giving Miller "a pass" and they are not implying that he doesn't allow bad goals.

Making a save when a player comes in that close is extremely difficult, how many times have you seen a goalie make a save when a player comes in like that? It's difficult because Miller didn't have time to make a read and get in position to make the save.

It wasn't like a bang bang quick play. It too several seconds to develop and Miller was pretty squared up to the shooter so the defense of him not being in position is mute

People just see a high paid goalie and expect him to make every save regardless of the situation. I heard some guy say that Miller needs to make the saves regardless if he's screened or not, because he "gets paid to see those".

I would not mind seeing that, and I would enjoy the slap in the face to neidermeyers ego

I hope Hecht isn't seriously injured

So according to Sbaresindc if there is a 2 on nothing breakaway on Miller he should make the save regardless.

if a player is within several feet of the net, if he picks an open spot, he scores. it is not humanly possible to react to a shot from 3 feet away.

I think Lindy is drawing up the shorty against this intermission so they don't have to waist a timeout for it next game.

Thanks man. For some reason though, this is one of the ones that wouldn't load for me. Just a blank white page. But I did find this one.... not sure what kind of a lag there is but it seems to be holding up thus far...

Yes, the shorty was not possible for Miller to stop unless Timonnen missed his spot.
