I was in Wheatfield for a hockey tournament so I missed the game. How'd we play?

i think we were ok. all our goals were beautiful in their own ways. slow start and a strong finish against a good team. we were neither dominators nor dominatees.

Very interesting way of calling the run of the game. And a pretty accurate one at that.

I like it!

The first period was about as bad as could be. The 2nd and third periods belonged to the Sabres.

Was a pretty even game overall. Got down early 2-0 on a powerplay goal that was scored off a rebound and a backhand that beat Miller high glove.

Came out strong in the third period. Got things rolling with a Stafford goal just after a power play expired, then tied it up on probably the most bizarre goal I've ever seen. Ennis threw a shot at the net from the corner while kaleta was getting dumped. Both Kaleta and the puck ended up in the net off the defenseman and no one really knew what happened until the official goal. Then Sekera put us up a goal with some of the nastiest stickwork we've seen this year on a backhand wrap around. Unfortunately not long after the Sabres would have a 4 on 3. Vanek would turn the puck over at our own blue line, and Timmonen would get caught alone in front of Miller as Boyes and Ennis basically just forgot about Timmonen.

In the third period Pominville put us up one on a feed from Vanek, and Gerbe sealed the deal with an empty netter.

Overall
Goaltending - B-
Defense - C-
Forwards - A

Power play - F
Penalty Kill - C
