I was at the RPI/Colgate game last night, and it is nice to see the refs actually call tripping penalties here. Good call on Kobesew

youve said this before.. whats it mean?

Watch Enroth on face-offs in his zone... he'll raise his stick and slam it to the ice... a lot of times if the camera is off him, you can still hear the stick slap the ice... reminds me of a toll booth... can't say Ive seen other goalies do this... but i like it for some reason it makes me chuckle....

This may be a dumb question, but why were they tossing their gloves before going into the locker room?

About the best road game first period I've seen from them.

Even though we've played better and gotten back into the playoff hunt...our passing hasn't been crisp nearly as much as it needs to be. When our passing is on...we're a tough beat. When we're taking 4 passes to get it out of our end and passing it into skates...we're a much easier team to play against. Tonight our passing been really good for the most part.

I guess they put them in an area where the equipment guys can find them and get them on the driers.

Do they still use those new jerseys they came up with a couple years ago, and they don't do what they're supposed to and instead of wicking away sweat, they allow the sweat to run down the jersey sleeves and pool into a players gloves?

i believe that with EDGE 2.0, the cuts of the jersey remained the same, but they reverted to the old Air-Knit fabric which was used before 07/08

That's good, as I remember Drury (I think) saying that your gloves would feel like they weighed like 10 lbs by the end of a game.

the new jerseys are basically the same as the pre- 07-08 edge jerseys, but have the edge cut. its the same fabric they used before they made the switch.

Yeah but the d-zone turnovers are few and far between these days, so I guess they are favoring safe chip outs instead of forcing breakout passes. I think that's wise because as a team I think the blue line could be defined as average in the puck movement department. And in the o-zone I personally hate those left to right tic tac toe plays like the goal they scored lol. Just go fast to the net and jam for a rebound, that's pretty to me too. They try passing plays like that 10 times they are going to fail 8 or 9 times.

Yup yup. One thing I noticed though is that the edge 2.0 may only available to the teams and anything you may purchase in the teams official store or even from NHL.com are of the 1.0 material. My pro Vanek road (white) is of the 1.0 material but the game issued Peters I bought from the Sabres online auction (Slug from 2 seasons ago) was of the 2.0 material. When we were in Buffalo last, I was checking out the blank jersey rack and they had the up to date road Sabres threads but they were in the 1.0 material.
