I dunno. A ticky tack penalty is still a penalty.

I'd just be happy if they could be consistant inside the same game.

well, we're already in no penalties in the last 5 minute mode to make that playoff transition.

Because it's not the playoffs. Playoffs are a different scenario. It's better to let the minor penalties slide, or there would be so many due to the tension.

If I remember correctly they actually called it pretty tight last season

not officiating the playoffs the same as the regular season is a HUGE problem in the NHL. Because the teams it hurts are the finesse teams, i.e. the ones that are fun to watch.

The Sabres-Bruins series started off with letting almost anything go, and Buffalo got hacked jobbed for the first two games and lost Vanek. After that, McCormick was called up and the whole team was ready for blood. Then, oh so conveniently the officiating went to calling most everything and Buffalo spent the rest of the series in the penalty box. To make it worse their PP couldn't do shit with the calls they did get.
