Applied for the exact same job I had for two and a half years already. If I don't get a call back for THAT I guess that means I'm not staying here for the summer. I got passed over for two interviews already while a friend who applied the same day for both got calls, even though I'm more qualified based on prior work experience and willing to work anytime. Meh.

bear grylls is a pussy. he sleeps in hotels and doesnt really rough it.

In one episode filmed in California's Sierra Nevada mountains he was shown biting off the head of a snake for breakfast and boasting that he was living on 'just a water bottle, a cup and a flint for making fire'.

Viewers were not told that he was actually spending some nights in the Pines Resort hotel at Bass Lake, where the rooms have Internet access and is advertised as 'a cosy getaway for families' complete with blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

In another episode when Grylls declared he was a 'real life Robinson Crusoe' stuck on a desert island, he was actually on an outlying part of the Hawaiian archipelago and retired to a motel at nightfall.

regardless of what Grylls does or doesnt do the general information that is presented does seem to be generally helpful if the situation arose.

beyond that, they have a disclaimer at the start of his shows telling people that the show isnt 100% authentic and that he will, at times, receive help and set up situations to show a certain strategy.

true, but still. les stroud goes out there with a camera, and does everything himself, or so it appears. i dont get how grylls gets to do deodorant ads and i dont see stroud doing anything. hes the real deal.

Les Stroud goes out with a pack, a GPS transmitter if he's in serious danger, and a camera that he rigs up in various ways.

he is the man. they made him carry a gun once because he was in a polar bear territory. the province made him.

Les Stroud was almost killed by a cougar once while taking a leak in the middle of the night. He had to run to the nearest village in a rainforest in order to not die, and then he recorded the sounds of the cougar as it circled around the village wall, angry that he got away.

If I could bring only one person with me to a desert island, I wouldn't bring any of my friends; I would bring him.

I got stuck yesterday at 10 am my time....shoveled for two hours...hiked for 10+ miles and found no one....hiked back to the Jeep...dug for another two hours....slept with my toes under my husky to keep them attatched....packed everything and started hiking out with the sunrise. Hiked another 13 or so miles and found a cabin. Then when I went in to sip coffee my dog couldn't see me so she went back to the Jeep and the tow truck guy found her. By the way....the back half of a kids car seat does not make a very good shovel.

I'm listening to the symphony that made me get into classical music whilst drinking tea and using words such as "whilst." I feel like I'm in high school again. I also think I can narrow down my three favorite genres to classical, Celtic, and bluegrass.

Also if you guys didn't know, I live in Colorado and I was in the heart of the Rockies here. Cougar and black bear prints everywhere. Saw two dead elk and if I wasn't so focused on gettin' out of there it would have been beautiful.

For now on, when I'm drunk. Someone around me needs to take my phone from me.

I got in trouble with a chick kinda, I dunno. But is she really going to hold it over me, I was drunk and I'm a lovey drunk and tend to not care and let my feelings out to the people I like, oh well.

And my ex deleted me from Facebook  she sure showed me who was boss, now I'm so hurt. Highschoolers.
