I just wrote a thank you note in the suggestion box.

I am seriously impressed. It's like a dream come true.

I haven't lived in Buffalo since I was 14, 15 years ago. My fondest memories of Sabres history are of watching Dominik Hasek play. He was phenomenal. The guy used to pull Miracles game in and game out.

To see all "the little things" actually taking place is great and it makes me proud to be a Sabres fan

Maybe this is not the case what-so-ever... but I swear we are seeing this fantastic road play because Pegula took over the team and has rejuvenated the organization.

I know the team was playing better before Pegula took over but... wow, we look great with him as owner.

You guys gotta know, I have been a Sabrs fan for over 35 years!!!

And when I read lines like "From this point forward, the Buffalo Sabres' reason for existence will be to win the Stanley Cup" and "We want this to be the place where every player calls their agent, calls their buddies and says, 'You've got to come here. This place is great.'" and 'French Reconnection,' it almost brings a tear my eye!!

Go Terry Go!!!!

This guy is every fan whoever said "If I owned this team..." come true

Can someone please fill me in on what "de-slugging the arena" means??? As English is not my first language, I just can't seem to figure that one out...

The previous logo of the Sabres is called Slug.

They'll remove all the remaining Slug-logos in the arena.

From the article mechaphil posted:
Quote:
This season, the Sabres began phasing out the "slug" logo that was created in 2006, and that extinction will continue. It has been removed from most places, with the most obvious exception being the arena scoreboard. That will be eliminated during the offseason.

Just finished watching the video on TBN. That new carpet looks mighty nice, I must say! And all these changes? I'm totally stoked for the continuation of how the team has been playing (Not willing to toss in the towel if losing), but also for the rest of the changes that are going to happen in the offseason!

As for the fan appreciation night, I think we're going to start making plans to head down to the 716! Tentative as they may be, still something to look forward to!

I'll see if I can find a way to bring some Keith's Tartan Ale down for you as well, Phil!

From Twitter today, one of the Sabres' PR guys Kevin Snow said that game programs will now be free.

From Ted Black, here's the first installment of Opening The Suggestion Box: http://sabres.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=555729

the de-slugging is cool as long as they dont change the 2007 banners. nothing sucks more then when a team changes the banners of pasts success to the current logos. you keep those banners as it.

also, are they replacing the jumbotron slugs? or just removing that ring all together?

say, did they ever find the old aud banners? or are they still missing?

Hell to the yessssss

EDIT: that must be really cool for them to come back after this long-ass road trip and see the arena has been physically improved a la the new carpet.

Check it out... Ted Black and other arena personnel are responding to people's suggestions on Sabres.com, and they're talking about more changes that we can expect to see:
