Just saw some benchmarks for the iPad 2. It's 3 times faster than the original iPad... and the original iPad isn't slow.

I met someone at the boat show I was at this weekend with the xoom. I was actually pretty impressed with the look and feel of the device.

I like how the background image glides as you scroll through the pages, and the widgets feature is pretty nice to have right on the desktop.

3D FPS graphic benchmarking on a tablet?
Seems like a rather useless measurement unless these are now being pushed as actual 3D gaming devices.

meh, next years will be better. I can't get excited every time a new electric toy comes out. my 3g iphone still does everything I need it too and my macbook does too.

Didn't know that was a 3D test.

That said, I have seen a few 3D apps on the original iPad and they're pretty cool.

GLBenchmark tests OpenGL ES, which is the mobile version of OpenGL, which is the standard for 3D graphics generation.
