I disagree. He allowed the lone soft goal. That brain meltdown cost us taking the game to overtime.

A SOFT GOAL, GET OUT NOW.

You honestly have no clue what you're talking about dude. A rebounded puck to a guy who should have had a defender in his face and never was able to get his stick on a REBOUNDED puck was the lone goal, do you simply forget the great play by him the entire game?

Have you ever played hockey in your life? Have you ever been on ice skates in your life? Obviously you have done neither of those things so you have no idea. That goal is a goal because the defender did not react to the rebound and clear it from the net.

I don't want to talk about the third period but man did they put some fucking rubber towards that net in the first. I was kind of on dad duty until just about now so I'm a bit late to the party. Really lame calls by the refs, Miller standing on his head and some magical Pin Ball Wizard at the toggle buttons of Wards legs. So many close calls but what a fucking hard one to lose at this spot in the season. Cheers to Miller though. Must be hard to stop all but one shot and still lose.

The biggest issue of the game was the lack of scoring. The guys can shoot the puck. When four of them go 0-for-5, there are issues finding the back of the net. If they cannot find it, they need corrective action.

I blame Neidermeyer for that one.

Miller was sharp as a tack all game long.

Morrissonn is the most unphysical defense man I have ever seen in my life. He's like Tree from Mystery Alaska. Dude, playing the puck in the NHL is about as dumb as it gets. Weber and Montador were not good either.

For those of you defending Miller and claiming it was not a weak goal, get over it. Geesh.

get over what? it was a puck that bounced to a waiting player, who shoved it into an empty net.

it wasnt a weak goal. suggesting such is moronic.

Someday you're going to learn to see the game through the goalies eyes, until then I am here to help you. Go back and watch the replay, see what he sees. keep in mind that you can't react to what you can't see. From Miller's point of view you have bodies, pads, and no puck. Skinner made a great play but he was lucky that the puck bounced right back too him in the open. By the time Miller picked up the pucks location the shot was well on it's way.

Now, if you want to spit vinegar at somebody then this might be the game to rag on Ruff. Because I read that he said they needed to play less physical because the Canes were Diving. That bit of advice probably cost them the game.

Goaltenders rely more on sight to stop pucks. Want to guess what other senses are necessary?

Actually, s-toothe makes a valid point. If Miller pours hot sauce on the puck he could smell it's location! And after every save, he could lick the puck and then re-sauce it. A delicious treat for a spicy save

touche!

i mean, sometimes miller doesnt play well. and he shares part of the blame. to suggest that in this game is absurd.

the canes are a shitty team that gets lucky. nothing more, nothing less. they had one lucky bounce go their way and the sabres, who were all over the canes for most of the game, did not.
