That was not fantastic. That was not even a game recap. And you didn't even know who Andrew Dice Clay was in the GDT. How is that possible?

The Canes were more desperate and they squeaked out a win, and sometimes hockey really is boring to watch. Even the big games.

I think the team will be refocused and ready to go in a few days. I'm not dwelling on this loss all week, I got plenty of shit to depress me besides that.

Soooo I slept through a good portion of the game, but from what I saw, the game wasn't that bad. It was just "one of those games", that you see a lot in hockey...it really could have gone either way. Carolina got lucky, but the Sabres didn't lose from a lack of trying.

Well had he not allowed that goal, those zero goals that we scored probably would have put us over the top.

I like Sutherland usually, but the refs as a whole were pretty bad. I never like to blame them, but it would have been better for both teams if they simply never showed up for the game

Like I said on Facebook, our top 6 didn't really do much for us last night :/

I think everyone on the team played well, especially Miller. The problem is we just couldn't bury the puck. Ward played very good but a couple of his saves were him just luckily being in the right place at the right time.

To answer the original poster, the refs did suck....both ways. I've been watching hockey for about 30 years now and this is, by far, the worst reffing I have ever seen. Prior to this year, I don't ever recall a goal occurring after a missed offsides call.

I think we didn't play hard enough after that great 2nd half to the first period. If we got that many chances again we would have buried one. The team has been busy, I'm not ignoring that fact, but they're athletes and I think the effort could have been much much higher.

I dunno, aside from a few plays here & there, they looked flat out tired last night. I know they're supposed to be well conditioned professional athletes, but after everything with the road trip, the Ottawa game after the news of Martin's passing, they just looked gassed. Coupled with a few BS calls and Cam Ward stopping everything he seen, that'll lose you a game pretty easy.

That was probably the quietest 40 shot performance I've ever seen. Lots of shots, but few scoring chances. And Ward was good at smothering rebounds and absorbing pucks. They looked tired, but will bounce back strong Saturday.

The team looked tired as hell which they should be they have been on the road or playing this whole month without rest. that being said they still should have at least popped in one goal..ward was lucky and the hurricanes played such a pussy game of hockey last night it was hard to watch.

Ward was excellent, especially in the 1st. So was Miller. Give credit where it's due.

Wasn't a bad game. We'll rebound.

The canes weren't losing 5 games in a row during a playoff hunt. It just wasn't going to happen.
