Taste is possible. I have not seen a lizard with extendable tounges leaping out of the goalie mask to swallow the puck. Is that impossible? No, it is possible one day. I doubt any lizards play in the NHL right now.

I am singling out touch, hearing, and instinct on this one.

What about smell? He could have smelled the rubber in the puck and could have anticipated where it was going, thus making the save.

Agreed CV, if that puck didn't roll on Vanek it's at least a point.

OMG how awesome would Daredevil be in net? When he taps the pipes he would actually SEE the puck!

I gotta make a thread about this...

The puck would need to be exposed to heat to thaw and give off a smell. Otherwise, there is hardly any smell to it when it is stone cold.

I doubt that would be necessary. It would not be as good later as it is here.

Sorry, but when my goalie is getting paid over $6 million a year, I expect him to be able to smell the puck even under difficult circumstances. Sick of all the excuses.

I will make one final comment about what I claim as Miller allowing a soft goal.

Soft can have several definitions. Here, I use soft as in being an easy goal. I think leaving the net wide open here is soft. If not, then I should consult my thesaurus.

Was I happy about that goal? Of course, I am not!

Let us get our heads out of asses and stop bantering with each other. The team has four days to regroup.

leaving the net open? it changed directions! it bounced right to a guy who wasnt in the play, and suddenly found himself with the puck. its like a line drive hitting the pitcher and bouncing to the third basemen. the third basemen wasnt in the play, then suddenly, he has the baseball.

soft is a goal like a 150 foot roller that somehow goes in.

seriously, suggesting that goal is on millers shoulders is ridiculous. its placing the blame on the wrong person. and thats the truth.

He's right, Miller should crotch inside the net holding two tower shields. But instead we have to suffer through watching him play OUTSIDE of the net and without tower shields. What kind of an idiot would not bring at least ONE TOWER SHIELD.

The blame was more on scoring tonight. Forty shots on net with no goals to show is unacceptable. I admit pulling everyone's leg putting more blame on Miller.

Allowing the goal is moronic also.

On that your speaking privileges are gone.

Also how do you react to sound playing hockey. The puck makes NO sound in the air. Go play a hockey game and realize everything you say is Moronic.
