Whew, good day. Came in 3rd at the first round of the cyclocross grand prix we were holding at our school today then drank an $11 bottle of beer. Fun times!

Evidently according to various sources found through the google, St. Patrick's Day grew in stature in the mid to late 1800s (particularly in NYC) when there was a large influx of Irish immigrants into the United States.
