Maybe it was just me who was sleeping and missed this, but Gary Bettman negotiated a new 5 year contract with the league that was unanimously approved by league executives.

Bettman and the owners are thick as thieves. He'll get approved as commissioner as long as he still wants the job. Gotta call Winston Wolf to clean up that mess.
