Something I noticed from last nights game. The Sabres, even while winning, were hungry for more. Even when Atlanta had a little spark, they came right back and put them down. They played the full game, something they haven't done a lot, and it got them an 8-2 win. I hope they can keep that mentality of "never stop moving" into next game.

The Gerbe, like Jesus, sacrifices his own stats in the interest of those who surround him.

Mancari was quick to credit Gerbe, his ex-Portland teammate, for huge help on and off the ice.

"I have this feeling when I play with him,' Mancari said. 'I've played with him for a long time [in Portland] and we're really comfortable with each other, good friends away from the ice. It's made a big difference for me, keeps me company when I'm not at the rink, makes sure I have rides. That goes a long way."

But if Gerbe was so Gerbacious wouldn't he have more points? He is the holy one, after all.

gerbe was downright useless through 30 games this season. hes played better, and hes begun producing.

he still has a weak shot, bad shot selection, but hes able to get into good scoring positions to allow him to get points. i think gerbes surge is on his line mates as much as him. the whole product is better.

do i see gerbe as a long term solution? no. i think he will be traded this off season, but thats just me. hes proven to be somewhat of an asset. but a game changer? a culture changer? i dont think so.

he doesnt appear to be the whiny bitch/douchebag he used to be, so thats good. we shall see.
