I do it all the time, if the play like a bunch of pansies they deserve being booed.

I'm just as pissed as anyone when they don't play well.

But I'm also not a believer that booing them helps the situation. I think it makes things worse.

Many players have said in post-game interviews that being booed off the ice by their own fans provided them motivation to come back out hard.

Not every player responds in this way, but plenty of players have made this comment.

If you want to boo, then boo. If you don't, then don't. Hating on the guy next to you for his choice doesn't really do anything.

Not hating. Just saying. I know it's their choice, and I'm not saying it doesn't help some players.

But one thing I'm pretty sure about is that a team always plays better when their fans rally behind them.

Imagine the whole arena going apeshit screaming and cheering FOR them after they gave up a goal? That helps everyone.

Well, sometimes fans will start a "Let's Go Buffalo!" chant right after we give up a goal, I think that's as close as you're going to get.
