Knowing we're going on vacation tomorrow, it was a little easier to wake up this morning. Sky was blue, the air was cool and crisp….
This day couldn't be anymore deceiving.
-Wake up at 8am
-Step on a cat.
-Didn't realize how full the garbage bin was outside as I needed to get it to the road for pickup and strained my back.
-Dropped the bin, cracking it.
-The compost bin is completely frozen into one big ball of rotten ice.
-Realize all the other recyclables are in the shed and the truck is 2 houses down from us (@*#^#%@!)
-Can't find the key to the shed.
-Find the key in the junk drawer.
-Grabbed the bags of cardboard and plastic and run out the door.
-One bag gets caught on the door and rips. Cardboard goes everywhere. (Recycling truck is one house away now)
-Grab another bag and gather all the cardboard.
-Got it all out at the road just as the truck arrives.
-Getting ready for work, I put two contact lenses in one eye and thought the eye with no lens in it HAD one in it and tried to take it out to clean it as it seemed blurry. My eye is very bloodshot now from trying to pluck out my god damn eyeball.
-Heading out the door, realize I have no coffee cream or milk for my coffee so I'm sitting at work drinking it black.
-Receive confirmation email from Air Canada that tells me I can check in now for the flight to Toronto tomorrow only to find out I fly out at 5:45am and Tara is on the 6:35am. (WTF!?)
This day can fuck off anytime now...
Edit: Turns out when booking our flights, the glitch was actually a user malfunction, but has since been corrected (For a fee, of course). We now fly out together on the 6:35am, putting us in Toronto at 7:59am then driving to Buffalo. I'm so ready for this vacation, I don't even....
